Hmmm, am pondering whether I should buy a tortilla press or not.

I've just tested it a number of times, after getting caught out by it and remembering seeing something of the kind before, and I can reproduce the faulty behaviour consistently on Safari, Chrome, and Firefox.Originally posted by Alias View PostI tended to do a browser refresh and it worked for meComment

Sounds like they're sticking your search criteria in a session variable. Steps to reproduce:Originally posted by NickFitz View PostI've just tested it a number of times, after getting caught out by it and remembering seeing something of the kind before, and I can reproduce the faulty behaviour consistently on Safari, Chrome, and Firefox.
- Open a new browser tab and go to Jobserve. If you get the "Accept cookies" thing, do so to get rid of it.
- If not already logged in, do so.
- From the "Industry" menu, uncheck "Select All Industries" and select only "IT & Telecommunications".
- In the "Keywords" field, enter something appropriate, e.g. "javascript".
- In the "Location(s)" field, enter something appropriate, e.g. "cambridge".
- Select "Within 2 days" and "Contract" from the menus above the "Search" button.
- Hit "Search".
- Once the results page has loaded, check the top of the main area: it will say something like "111 jobs for javascript within 50 miles of cambridge".
- Open a new tab, and go to Jobserve. (You should still be logged in. If not, turn off
porn modeprivate browsing and go back to the beginning.)
- In the new tab, repeat steps 3 to 7 (if the fields aren't already completed, which they should be) BUT enter a different location at step 5, e.g. "slough".
- Once the results page has loaded, check the top of the main area: it will say something like "123 jobs for javascript within 50 miles of slough".
- Switch back to the first tab.
- Reload the page, e.g. with Cmd-R.
- Once the results page has loaded, check the top of the main area: it will say something like "123 jobs for javascript within 50 miles of slough" instead of "111 jobs for javascript within 50 miles of cambridge", and the results will be those seen in the second tab (plus any new ones), not the results originally seen in the current (first) tab.

Just remembered the fuss over "all these strange new posters with enormous post counts" suddenly appearing Specifically in General, way back when.
