We could have gone to the ould sod and deal with my family, most of whom I don't get on with or Mr N's family in blighty where I'd be dealing with screaming brats, and running round like a headless chicken trying to get xmas dinner cooked.
So we had a chilled day as all the prep was done up front, no screaming brats, no petulant siblings, and we got to eat what we wanted rather than bleedin' turkey
