Have you thought about getting another? We found after our dog died last year that there seemed to be a dog shaped hole in our lives. We couldnt replace him and we didnt want to, but we could fill the hole by giving a new dog a home ( ok we got two in the end, dont ask. )

You will never be able to replace Zeitmog, but you can fill that cat shaped space and give a unwanted cat a good home.
