3 days to meself, loony lady free. Pretty heavy rain today, not sure if I'll get me walky. Been moaning for weeks about the sun, now I'm moaning about the rain. At my age, moaning is all one is good at. At least my water butts should be filled up.

    PS Butts, Mmmm.

      Afternoon denizens

It’s a drizzly day here, with the bonus of possible thunderstorms. The 17°C we have at present apparently “feels like” 14°, but ti should be creeping up to 19° eventually. The barometers are down a bit more at 990/998mB

The lawn seems a little greener again. It occurred to me that I could photograph it each day to analyse the change in the ratio of brown to green areas. But I can’t be bothered

The other day, Jo Kibble did one of his 24 hour bus challenges, which brought him to Leicester around 11 at night. Having a wait, he set off in search of sustenance which he found at Bombay Bites, an Indian fast food place with three branches in the city. I congratulated him on his choice and he said the food was absolutely delicious, and it reminded me that I haven’t had anything from there for a while. So this evening’s tea was brought from the branch that’s a bit closer to me, and he’s right - it’s really good stuff if you fancy some nice spicy “street food” as it’s apparently called nowadays

Today’s viewing was, of course, Monkey Life and other wildlife things

And tonight’s reading was more of To Each This World - I’m quite near the end of that now

There’s been some more rain tonight but it looks like tomorrow will be a bit brighter, with the rain returning in the evening

          Goodnight all

            Morning.

Sunday: another 05:00 awakening: always a joy & much appreciated every fecking time it happens.

Wet. Very wet. Stair rods wet.

Grey now, it was black earlier.

            Sunless. Completely.

Can't see Drummau, lost in the low cloud.

22.1 deg in here, 22.1 in the kitchen, 20 in the leanto, 16 out the back.

1001 mBar, 29.56 in Hg, 750.8 Torr, 14.52 psi, (up from 1000 last night, in turn up from 995 in the afternoon), 69% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 3rd of April 2020, between 11:31 and 12:06: as per yesterday.

Today's dream before waking seemed to involve the cat and my failing to install a litter tray, followed by some strange goings on in next door's hall where the wallpaper was billowing off and strange people were banging on the wall in an attempt to get through. Very odd.

The attempt to return to the land of nod via "Pulse" was unsuccessful, and since there's someone living next door the permissible volume wasn't great.
