Lunch has been some hot wings

It’s quite Simpsonesque out now, but still very breezy. We have a warning for thunderstorms tomorrow and Thursday

Greetings from Helsinki, local time 1736.

The ferry journey was uneventful. Hotel nice. Had a short wander around the immediate area and have secured postcards and stamps already. Warm and sunny.

      Posh dinner this evening.

Tea has been homemade pork chow mein. Turned out quite nicely; nothing they’d recognise down the Chinese, but I’m managing to refine whatever recipe I started with into something acceptable to me

For viewing, I started watching the LA homicide thing on Netflix about Phil Spector

Busy day, arty farty thing this morning, folllowed by visit to small local art exhibition with ll2, then a wake party this afternoon. Didn't know bloke very well but seemed a nice guy and I admired his hippy look. I used to dress liike that once, got so boring now.

              Morning all, local time 0946

Sunny with wispy fluff. Currently 17 degrees with a high of 21 expected. Barometer at 1024 mBar.

              Sunrise 06:00; Sunset 20:42 EEST

We've just had breakfast and will be off to see some Moomins today, amongst other cultural delights.

Had a fabulous dinner last night. Our blow out meal of the holiday at a Michelin starred restaurant.

                  Morning denizens

Grey and drizzly start; been a little while since we had one of those. It’s mild enough at 17°C with an expected high of 23°C, the barometers are down a bit more at 1002/1009mB, and we have a yellow warning for thunderstorms

Down on the lawn near the flowerbed, it looks as if some poor pigeon has already been struck by a bolt from the blue, there being almost nothing left of it but a wide circular patch of white feathers with a fragment of wing, another such fragment being a bit further across the lawn, where one of the magpies was pecking at it. I’m guessing a fox lying low beneath the rose bushes got it, though it could be a cat, or even a hawk. But whatever it was - or something that came later - has carried off most of the remains, if that’s any clue

Up here, I’ve got the bread maker started on wholemeal dough as I’m making some baps - first time making wholemeal ones

                    Morning. .

                    Wednesday apparently.

Torrential rain blanked out Freesat some time around 01:00.

                    Damp.

                    Grey.

                    Wanly sunny.

21 deg in here, 22 deg in the kitchen, 20 deg in the leanto, 19 deg out the back.

1005 mBar, 29.6776 in Hg, 753.8 Torr, 14.58 psi, (up from 1004 last night), 64% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 3rd of April 2020, between 09:11 and 10:35, AndyGarbs, barrydidit, Brillo, LM, MrMarkyMark, NF, vetran, and I popped in, with NF giving us the "bring out yer dead" toll for Leicester just to cheer us up a bit.

Walk (abbreviated, 3 miles) walked in the unbearable heat & humidity of the morning. The umbrella was not required.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: Dashcam bollox. Or Art in Film The News if I've watched that one too many times already.
