Sunny, occasional wisps, breezy. Currently 20 degrees ('feels like' 23) with a high of 21 expected. Barometer down to 2014 mBar.

Woken up in the wee hours by windy noises. I refused to look at the clock to see what time it was.

Busy morning of meetings. This afternoon is looking much more reasonable.

Off to the theatre to see The Authenticator this evening.

First day back was much as one might expect

I hadn’t looked at the stuff I’m working on in nearly three weeks, because of being off last week and dealing with the urgent year-end stuff the week before. Once I got it deployed to the hotfix environment, I immediately spotted a minor UI bug resulting from the transition to the new financial year, so that was handy

I’d also forgotten that I’d added quite a few tests just before I set it aside to deal with other stuff, which are proving useful in reminding me what I thought I was up to at that point

Tea has been chicken casserole, being the one I made the other week, with chips

Very tasty casserole, that. Luckily, I remember roughly what I added in terms of seasoning and the like, so I ought to be able to replicate it in the future

This evening’s viewing was the fourth episode of the thing about the ferry Estonia, in which they got heavily into the conspiracy theory about the Russians sinking it because Sweden and MI6 were using it to smuggle secret Russian military equipment to the west after the fall of the USSR

And tonight, more of SS-GB in which the plot is thickening in interesting and unexpected ways
