Pukka steak slice for lunch
And breakfast was a couple of croissants with strawberry jam. Given the number of calories in that lot, I should probably just have something light for tea. But I doubt I will

In part of the “use up everything that is expired” mode, today I’ve made tahini from some sesame seeds marked as best before October 2023 and then used some of it to make hummus with a tin of chickpeas (March 2025)
Next is to make some trout pate from fish I smoked a couple of years ago before putting it in the freezer.
Going to make myself a rhubarb crumble for dessert tonight as I found a pot of rhubarb we had stewed and frozen in 2022.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Nando’s leftovers for tea

Morning denizens
It’s cloudy out, but like yesterday seems as if it might be willing to indulge us in the occasional, brief sunny spell - despite the 45% chance of a spot of rain in the next hour or so. The wind is, apparently, gusty and making the current 6°C “feel like” 2°; the day’s high will be 9° through much of the afternoon, and it’ll be a mild night, not dipping below 6°. The barometers are down a touch at 988/996mB

Heavy rain overnight, but the forecast rain for this morning has not arrived yet, so our walk was muddy underfoot, cloudy but dry overhead.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Morning.
Monday.
Grey.
Damp.
Sunless.
Dreary.
Chilly in here at 13.4 deg, 12.5 in the kitchen, 11.5 in the leanto.
993 mBar, 29.3232 in Hg, 744.8 Torr, 14.4 psi, (down from 996 last night), 66% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 16th of March 2020 WTFH's Mrs was off on a secret mission, DaveB's dog was unwell, BR14, AndGarbs and LM popped in, NF was irritated that appointments with the GP were now only available on the phone, and posited the theory that covid was A Cunning Plan by receptionists to kill us all off, the Final Solution to the irritating patients problem.
. Whilst discussions were ongoing regarding the carpet shop lights timer.
Yet another dream of working somewhere I didn't want to be, though this was improved by imminent redundancy and, curiously, cream cakes.Last edited by DoctorStrangelove; Today, 08:59.When the fun stops, STOP.Comment
