An uneventful day. Nightmare business user with dodgy Swiss client doing UAT her own way. Not helped that the IT lead said that the project wouldn't provide test scripts and it was up to the business to decide what their acceptance criteria were, and to test to that. Fair enough (not the way I'd do it) but business user also didn't document anything then said "I need stuff to be changed" which came across like a change request not an issue to be fixed. Also, the business user didn't understand that dummy data used to test won't be included in production and banged on for 10 minutes about how she'd asked multiple times for the data to be removed.

        Smile and invoice.

Tea has been lamb tagine with homemade pilau rice

Nice enough overall, though I think I need to practice both recipes a bit more and maybe adjust various quantities

This was accompanied by the start of a new series on 4, 999: What Happened Next. It does that mildly annoying thing of switching back and forth between two entirely unrelated cases, presumably so we don’t get bored, but it’s quite interesting. A respectable middle-aged bloke claims the car thief he stabbed “ran onto” the knife he was carrying, and a young woman says she's being stalked by her ex who set fire to her car - but maybe she's stalking him and ripping him off, depending on who you believe. I suspect the ex is doing himself no favours by repeatedly telling the police how useless they are in his interview

And there’s a bedding wash on. The washer-dryer has just sent me a message to say it’s finished washing, so I need to decide whether to split the load for drying. Don’t think I’ll bother; it’s only a fitted sheet and four pillowcases

The washing was brought to a successful conclusion

In Berlin, it’s all gone to pot. Hitler’s dead, the Goebbels children have been murdered by their mother, the city is in ruins, and what remains of the Wehrmacht is desperately trying to head west to surrender to the Americans instead

                Morning denizens

                Grey day! What a surprise

It’s also quite misty and feels damp out there, based on poking my head out of the bedroom window. Normal-for-now temperatures: currently 3°C with an expected high of 7°, and a chance of some clearer skies towards sunset. The barometers are down a touch at 980/988mB

                  Morning all
Woke up and looked out the window to see the moon reflecting off our pond in a way that reminded me of the Casino sign at the start of Goldfinger. Even though the skies were clear, it was 7C, so I'm not complaining there. The dawn chorus started around 6.30
...and that is the day so far.

                      Morning.

                      Wednesday.

                      Drily damp.

                      Blue sky in parts.

                      Wanly hints of sunny.

Chilly in here at 12.7 deg, 11 in the kitcehn, 9 in the leanto, 7.6 deg in the salting house.

986.5 mBar, 29.1313 in Hg, 739.93 Torr, 14.3 psi, (down from 987.5 last night), 62% RH (Lidl electric)

Meanwhile on the 15th of March 2020 scruff, AndyGarbs, BR14 and DaveB popped in, LM had a nasty headache, NF was watching the BluRay version of "Threads" whilst I watched other stuff, some of which I'd watched before, though none of it involved Global Thermonuclear War as such.

                      Washing frenzy in progress.

Oh, and it's High Tide, so the marsh is underwater. Just as well the river isn't in flood. . Coz that's when it get really exciting, as on one occasion on the towpath walk there was river one side, the canal the other and 5 feet of path with not much between the two, though not as exciting as the time the river overflowed into the canal at Tonna lock.

Walk (towpath, unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine. It was nearly warm in one place.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: Y&Y. Welsh Water. Electrick cars.

Well in a definite second, a hawk just took a pigeon as I was bringing in the shirts. .

The first time this happened a hawk took a jackdaw which led to much angst in the local population. They were a bit upset at the pigeon too, but not to nearly the same extent.

All the washing in off the line, iRoned where needed & airing upstairs. It all dried pretty well & the TD wasn't needed.

Entertainment: Archive hour: Steelmakers, followed by a bit of one about "Taxi Driver (1976)". That Travis Bickle, what's he like?

Tea: Tesco battered ?haddock? etc. Nice enough. Entertainment: PM.

                      Book.

Scotland Yard: the dating agency one.

Yesterday: Abandoned Engineering: I'd be surprised if there's any engineering involved.

TLC (I'm sure this used to called something else): Bad Skin Clinic. Hope it's not more keloids.

                      Elementary S1 E12 "M".
