      Morning denizens

Grey start and there's been a bit more rain overnight, with an 80% chance of showers very soon; but there are hints of thinness to some areas of cloud suggesting the possibility of brighter spells. Still windy. The mild spell continues: it's already 17°C and expected to reach 21° for a few hours this afternoon. The barometers are up a little at 1003/1011mB

        Morning.

        Thursday.

Wet. Wet. Wet. Standing water at the bottom of next door's garden (fortunately it's a foot lower than my garden). Can't say that it has rained that much but there you go.

        Grey.

        Sunless.

        Dreary.

        Drizzly.

Cool in here at 19.1 deg, 19 deg in the kitchen, 18 in the leanto.

1010.5 mBar, 29.84 in Hg, 757.9 Torr, 14.656 psi, (up from 1009 last night).

Meanwhile on the 17th of February 2020 Brillo, BR14, and Churchill popped in, Diver and his hand were mentioned, NF commented, WTFH did too, and LM eventually appeared.

It appears that the garden next door was flooded more deeply on 16th of February 2020 as recalled in my post of the 14th of September. Well there's a thing. Looks, from a distance since the drizzle remains extant, that it's getting a little deeper down there. No whales yet.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: my tinnitus, which is growing much stonger since one ear blocked.

In other news, next door managed, after many weeks, to get the box of sodden newspaper and the overfull box of wine bottles out to the kerb for collection. Well there's a thing.

Both must have been too heavy for the female half, so presumably my idle nephew managed to stir his sticks at last & bend his fecking back & do something.

Or course the emptied bins & wheelie bin will remain out the front for ages since he has a world class talent for ignoring stuff.

          Morning Afternoon all

Dull and overcast. Currently 20 degrees ('feels like' 24) with a high of 22 expected. Unlikely to rain despite it looking very grey out. Barometer up to 1019 mBar.

          Sunrise 06:41; Sunset 19:08 BST

This morning the builder who sorted the garden wall stopped by to bring the person charged with painting it. They have prepped the surface and applied a base coat, returning tomorrow (weather allowing) to finish it off. The collection of rubbish that had been left in the front garden was taken away.

Also this morning I have made some progress on that document I've been avoiding for some time. You can tell the delivery deadline is looming when I actually start doing something.

Lunch: Heinz oxtail soup and white toast

Been an OK morning, mostly pairing with the other dev as we add a new feature which requires some meddling around with areas of the app I haven't had much to do with yet. So she's driving, and I'm following along

Sunny spells now, though there's still a lot of cloud in big clumps

I'm trying to decide whether to do the shopping at teatime, or leave it till the morning

No Mahjongy thing this morning due to a funeral.

Got my business accounts to add up, really relieved as the £2k discrepancy in balance sheet is now only £21. After some minor editing I'd been adding the stock cost of sales instead of subtracting! Idiot! What a relief, it was really stressing me out.

Nowt this PM except walky and boring shopping. May try and put up with loony lady 2 again tomorrow. I shall email her the terms and conditions she must agree to.
