Gawd. I lead a U3A art group and had a boring 2 hours this afternoon at the open day, sitting at a desk surrounded by loud nattering old farts.

Read a couple more Rumpole stories. They're enjoyable enough; I may even try watching the TV version some time

      Thursday tomorrow!

I realised earlier that there are three meetings back to back from two to five tomorrow afternoon. That'll help pass the time until the weekend

      Goodnight all

        Morning denizens

It's cloudy out again, and the air feels a bit damp; I don't know if there's been any more rain overnight but there's definitely more on the way right now, circling towards us from the direction of Birmingham according to the radar, and expected to move on around lunchtime. It continues to get cooler, being 13°C with an expected high of 17°, while the barometers have bounced back to 991/999mB

It looks as if the appliance slider deliveries will take place tomorrow, so I might do the shopping this evening. It's new Viz day today, so I'll have to go to Big Sainsbury's for it

This also means I'll have to swap today's and tomorrow's meal plans, but that's fine as the one originally planned for today is a slow-cooked thing involving a bit of prep work, and it'll be easier to do that tomorrow

          ^^^ Unregarded NF OM.

          Morning.

Wet. Remarkably wet. Stairrods just now.

          Grey.

          Sunless.

Cool in here at 19.6 deg, 20 in the kitchen, 18 in the leanto.

997 mBar, 29.44 in Hg, 747.8 Torr, 14.46 psi, (up from 996 last night), 70% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 14th of February 2020, NF, AndyGarbs, Brillo, BR14 and opm popped in, along with vetran.

          Sunny.

          Rainy.

          Sunny.

          Rainy.

Freecell score: 88%, running average: 84%.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: Y&Y scam watch. The shape of things to come <click>

Trip to that Swansea and that Oxfam bookshop: X5 down, T6 back, foot and a bit of books gone and one bought for £3.

Discovered that Howard the Engine Driver has popped his clogs: his wife predeceased him about 3 months earlier. Didn't think he'd last long after that and I was right.

Outside a mug of mediocre but consistent coffee.

Tea: beans on toast with a frankfurter sausage to make it seem like those Heinz beans with little sausages.

Entertainment: the science thing, currently waffling on about Parkinsons, Alzheimers, and music.

PM waffling on about the usual, plus some Septic waffling on about food adiction.

              Morning all, local time 1109

Sunny again. Currently 22 degrees ('feels like' 25) with a high of 29 expected. Barometer down to 1016 mBar.

              Sunrise 07:45; Sunset 20:42 CEST

HWMBO has food poisoning. He just about made it through the day at work yesterday and then spent the rest of the day throwing up. Luckily he doesn't have work again until Monday and today was always planned to be a flumping day because we were expecting hangovers after a big night out (which had to be cancelled). He thinks he'll be well enough for our planned day trip to Toledo tomorrow but I think it's unwise. It'll be 31 degrees which is not a good temperature when you're already dehydrated. He's drinking the pharmacy recommended electrolyte sachets that also have probiotics to help rebalance the gut bacteria.

                Lunch: a Pukka steak slice

The Royal Mail have thrown a spanner in the works by saying they'll deliver an item at teatime, between quarter to six and half seven. I suppose I can go shopping once they've turned up and have tea a bit later as, to the best of my knowledge, I'll still be getting another delivery some time tomorrow. Mind you, tomorrow's is by Evri, so if I'm out they'll probably just dump it in the big flowerpot by the front door anyway

Another old lady infested morning playing Mahjong at village cafe. Do a bit of gardening (yawn!) before me walky.

Boring small business accounts taking ages, if it wasn't what's keeping me sister going I'd give up. Ain't much profit.

HWMBO is on the mend after much sleeping. Fluids are staying where they ought to so he hopes to be able to manage a bit of dinner this evening.

Glad to hear it! It's miserable being ill when you're away from home
