Another outdoor music thing with annoying ll2. Feeling really rubbish after another rotten night's sleep.

      Tea has been Turkish leftovers

And to go with it, the second and final part of the iPlayer thing about the Jesus Army. Back in the 1980s, my then GF and I used to pop into Goodness Foods on Silver Street in town most Saturdays when we were doing the shopping because they had really nice cakes. But then we found out it was owned by a cult, so we stopped going there

Just had a look on StreetView and I think it was the place that's now a Warhammer shop, so at least the vaguely militaristic overtones persist

This evening, more of Project Hail Mary has been read. This one's a bit denser on the science compared to Artemis, but still a good read

Monday again tomorrow… but not for me! Well, it is, but at least I'm not working

        Goodnight all

One of the advantages of working from home is that I can wear my shorts on hot days.

Woke up convinced I'd had a good night''s sleep and thinking it was about 5:15, as it wasn't light yet. Eventually looked at the time to see it was 2:30. Eventually dosed off again and didn't get up until 6.
Pleasant walk has been had but not even 8,000 steps.

            Morning denizens

Sunny start to what promises to be a warm day! It's already 20°C and aiming for 27°, so I reckon the air conditioner will be getting a workout. The barometers, however, are down at 1012/1020mB

I had a reasonably good night's sleep in the end, though a bit broken. I think the problem was that the temperature was just at the level where it's a touch too warm for even the thin duvet, but not warm enough for no duvet at all. So I'd be half-woken by being too warm and throw the covers aside, then a while later be half-woken by being too cold and pull them back; and so on through the night

              Morning.

              Monday apparently.

              Dry.

              Sunny.

              Blue sky.

Cool in here at 21.1 deg, 22 in the kitchen, 20 in the leanto.

1016 mBar, 30 in Hg, 762.1 Torr, 14.735 psi, (down from 1019 last night), 69% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 6th of February 2020 LM was watching Dracula and expecting the arrival of HWMBO's ankle biters, whereas I was watching the various commentaries on "ST: First Contact", and NF was becoming accustomed to the Doctor's surgery's new always on lights, installed after the incident of The Man on the Roof, while BR14 suggested that said lights might be subject to impact to turn them off.

On the duvet front, I use a top sheet, so the options are more conducive in warm weather.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: the 11:45 thing <click> Nope. Not listening to that, hence: book. Then Y&Y <click>.

Shopping trip to Tesco done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away. Walked out, walked back. Hot.

              Raining.

              Tea: chilli con carne etc.

Entertainment: PM waffling on about the Orange Micropenised Moron, and now, and in colour(tm): Clive of India. What what.

              Book. Other book.

              Humans E5 of 5.

Foyle's War S7 E3 "Sunflower". The one about the nasty SS chap. Shades of the Gehlen Organisation. .

For lunch, a freshly-baked sausage roll

I didn't just make one though. That would be silly

                    Evening all

It's been a warn day. Some cloud but mostly sunny. Even my usually cool office was a bit toasty. Currently 28 degrees and the high was 31. Barometer down to 1018 mBar.

                    Sunrise 05:41; Sunset 20:31 BST.

Busy day. Some work, some cleaning up after yesterday's successful BBQ.

Bins put out, luckily it's recycling this week. Hopefully the refuse collection engineers will also take away the food waste bin for a change.
