It was fine. The staff are lovely. Breakfast is my least favourite meal of the day so it didn't look all that appetising to me but the pastries were nice.

Now in the KLM Crown Lounge in AMS, on the Schengen side. HWMBO has arrived from Glasgow. We're in the fishbowl set aside for Ultimates cos we're too special to sit with the hoi polloi.

Finished watching series 2 of Power of Parker, which has grown on me.

It appears that Air Crash Investigation, which Disney+ so rudely removed while I was in the throes of working my way through it the other year, has resurfaced on Prime under the name Air Crash Disasters Uncovered though the title sequence still shows the original Canadian title Mayday

Anyway, whatever it's called this week, I couldn't remember where I was so I've started again at the beginning

Later, in Careless People the author is finally beginning to realise that Mark Zuckerberg might, in fact, be a worthless little bastard who doesn't give a tulip about anything or anybody but himself and his poxy company, which are basically the same thing anyway. Who knew?

Monday again tomorrow, though probably with very little to do unless the new team expect me to start familiarising myself with their stuff. Anyway, only four more days

              Goodnight all

                  Morning denizens

Cloudy start for the most part, though it's composed of distinct layers roughly stacked so some sun is getting through the gaps from time to time. It's 14°C but expected to soar to 22°, with the barometers up a little more to 1008/1016mB

                    Morning all, local time 09:50

Sunny. Currently 23 degrees ('feels like' 25) with a high of 32 expected. Barometer at 1018 mBar.

Sunrise 07:08; Sunset 21:33 Central European Summer Time (CEST)

Had a very nice dinner yesterday at a Catalan restaurant near Rebeiro Park. Very quiet in the hotel.
