Damp from much overnight / early hours rain but it seems to be brightening up. Currently 15 degrees with a high of 21 expected. More showers may appear mid afternoon. Barometer at 1010 mBar.

Lunch: a Sainsbury's steak slice

Still cloudy and a bit breezy out

Just remembered that I used the last slice of wholemeal bread this morning, so the bread maker has been pressed into service. I don't have the bread mix but I have all the ingredients.

However, this has led me to examine the large table of breads and processes in the manual, and I've realised that using the wholewheat program rather than the bread mix program takes much longer! The rising time alone is twice as long. I have no idea why, as the mix is just the same ingredients already mixed together. Anyway, let's see if it comes out better this way
