Loony lady 3 even more irritating than usual yesterday. After walk she asked if we could drop by supermaket so she could buy some milk. I hung around car park for well over 1/2 hr and she came out with other stuff including several bottles of wine.

Got to drive for over an hour later and help me damn sister collect her scultures at a local show. Bluddy relatives!

The lurgy is improved but not altogether over, so lunch has been Heinz chicken soup with white toast, in the hope that its healing and restorative properties will make the start of the week more bearable

Clouding over now, and still breezy

Tea has been a nice fry-up

It clouded over a lot and there's been a bit of rain, with more due later

Tonight's viewing was the latest episode of Ambulance and the latest 24 Hours in A&E

Monday again tomorrow, and not a holiday one either

            Goodnight all

              Morning denizens

Sunny start out, though it's expected to cloud over around lunchtime. Still breezy, so the current 11°C "feels like" 8°, and presumably the predicted high of 18° will also shortchange us. The barometers are up to 1005/1013mB

CBS, etc. 16C out right now, I suspect it could be a hot one. Good job we went out early for our walk.

I repositioned one of our cameras yesterday to see if the hedgehog restaurant was being used, and the answer is a resounding yes:
                22:26, 23:06, 23:32, 01:11, 01:57 & 03:25

                  Morning.

                  Monday.

                  Dry.

                  Sunny.

                  Blue sky in parts.

Chilly in here at 17.3 deg, 17.5 in the kitchen, 15.5 in the leanto.

1014 mBar (near enough), 29.9434 in Hg, 760.56 Torr, 14.7 psi, (up from 1011 last night), 70% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 21st of January 2020 I discovered a new box of PP3 batteries were all fecked, I replaced the smoke detector that was destroyed when it wouldn't shut the feck up with a new battery by purchasing a new pair of ionisation smoke detectors from Wilko, NF was still and had a desire for hot buttered toast, LM liked the smell of toast, WTFH was chasing the guinea fowl back from next door's garden, BR14 popped in.

And today is donation day for Oxfam. . Thankfully I reached the end of the Gene Wolfe story in time to get shot of the book. For which relief: much thanks. I think I've discovered why I've never read much Gene Wolfe.

X7 down: timed that right on the edge. T6 back, which made a more pleasant change. Donation donated. Unfortunately 3 box sets made their way back. .

                  Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: yahoo news.

Just discovered that one of the box sets is a repackaged version of one I've already got, the other hopefully contains the Pink Panther dvd missing from the other set, and the third set has Dexter S1 - 8.

Shopping trip to Aldi and Tesco done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away.

Minor potching in the garage: almost too trivial to mention.

There are actually 8 orchids in next door's lawn: what I thought to be one was a group of three, another was a pair.

Tea: Mr Brains faggots and peas. Nice enough.

                  Entertainment: NCIS S21 E6, 7, 8. Amusing enough.

Skinwalker Ranch: talky talk: cattle mutilations, last week's ailing calf recovered off the ranch, the drilling into the mesa is not going well. Funny "wood" found in the spoil turned out to be some ancient aquatic plant stem, some green jelly turned out to be burnt plant material. A circular hole in a tree might have been caused by something flying through the canopy. They lost contact with the drill bit again.

                      Lunch: a steak slice

The lurgy may have backed off but it's not gone completely; I've still got a sore throat, and I'm feeling bit below par
