Tea has been a pork cutlet with chips and beans

This was accompanied by the Argos programme on 5

More of the RAF programme watched this evening, series 2. Followed by The Curse of Oak Island.

In a development that will come as a shock no-one, the oscillator they're using to put down down a 7 ft caisson started sinking into the ground. Turns out that all those years of drilling umpteen holes has left the ground somewhat unstable.

I've read some more of Story of a Murder. The Crippens have moved up to Holloway; very Diary of a Nobody territory

          Goodnight all

            Morning.

            Thursday.

            Dry.

            Sunny.

            Blue sky.

Chilly in here at 16 deg, 16 in the kitchen, 14 in the leanto, 11.4 in the saltinghouse.

1017 mBar, 30.03 in Hg, 762.8 Torr, 14.75 psi, (up from 1014.5 last night), 61% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 11th of January 2020 NF had scotch broth for lunch and a flat tyre on the car later, Brillo popped in, BR14 popped in, LM had a 6 hour lunch , and I watched "A shot in the dark" being the 2nd Pink Panther film & much funnier than the first.

Washing frenzy in progress: and, as soon as it's all pegged out, it starts clouding over. Ho hum.

Shopping trip to Morrisons done dusted washed dried sanitised and put away.

Second shingles jab duly booked: the ear wax removal: not so much.

            Lunch: brunch.

            Entertainment: my tinnitus. :. TWATO.

The chap who moved out of number 50 6 months ago was down emptying the rest of the junk out of his garage. Had a nice chat & did the updation on the idle fecking Nephew & his posting whilst pissed thing. Apparently the new neighbours will arrive next week now the solicitors have managed to get their name right.

Shirts in off the line along with those of the cottons that had reached the required level of dryness (apart from one cotton twill shirt which had the sleeve tucked up inside itself) and duly iRoned (including the sleeve that was the very damp side of damp). All airing upstairs now.

The infinite Monkey Cage best bits guide to Failure, The Future, Tiny Things.

Mug of coffee (Tesco, mediocre) duly consumed. I've turned into my Father (who'd be gutted that Blend 37 is no longer A Thing). .

Pollen count seems high judging by symptoms, however some of these may be due to the overwhelming pong of furniture polish that's pervading the place.

I suppose I ought to vac the rest of the front bedroom, assuming I can find the energy to shift some of the stuff that's in there.

Stuff shifted and vacced behind. Stuff put back in bookcases higgled-piggeldy.

Rest of washing in off the line & the two things requiring the iRoned received its attention. All airing upstairs, or will be once I've reassembled the front bedroom again.

Feck me, some of that stuff is heavy. I'd forgotten how heavy a Philips 1500 VCR is, and the 1502 and 1700 are about the same weight.

Tea: beans on toast. Forgot the cheese. With 2 boiled eggs. Nice enough but not as good without the cheese.

            Entertainment: PM.

NCIS: S17 the ep where they find bits of a homeless man.

            The Directors: Steven Spielberg.

SF in the Atomic Age: Quatermass to Christopher Nolan.

            Kubrick by Kubrick.

              Morning denizens

Another grey day out today and still a touch breezy too, though not as much as yesterday. It's 9°C and maybe reaching 14° along with a little sun breaking through this afternoon, while the barometers have leapt back up to 1011/1019mB

                Morning all

Cloudy with patches of sky coming and going. Currently 10 degrees with a high of 15 expected. The risk of showers remains. Barometer up to 1022 mBar.

                Sunrise 05:46; Sunset 20:13 BST

Slept a bit better last night, but still tired this morning. I am making an attempt at a full days' work but we'll see how things go.

A friend and I met at Casa do Frango near Borough Market, and then had a mooch around said market before tottering onto other places. A very fine day out indeed.

                  Ham toasties for lunch

I splashed out on Taste the Difference ham this time, rather than the usual stuff which is what they used to sell on the deli counter before they closed that. Anyway, I couldn't really taste the difference

The mundane laundry has been done

And I even managed to find enough motivation to do a bit of tidying in the kitchen. There's still more to do, but it's a start
