Today I went to Westfield shopping centre to give blood. Then bought a card and flowers for Mum tomorrow. For some reason the busses were taking an age to get between home and White City.
Something new for tea: I ordered in from a Yemeni restaurant on one of the side streets past the park, the first time I've tried Yemeni cuisine. Very nice, I thought
Did anyone see much of the partial solar eclipse? It was too cloudy at the appointed time here
I missed it, being either still in bed or in the throes of getting up, though I'm not sure if it would have been visible anyway; there was some thin cloud around at the time
And after that, there was the usual other wildlife stuff. They seem to be mentioning Komodo dragons a lot lately, but it makes a change from sharks
Meanwhile in Caledonian Road, one character (an illegal immigrant) has been transplanted to Leicester to work as an overlocker in one of the many sweatshops in the old Imperial Typewriter Factory on East Park Road. I've lived round that area several times over the decades and it's cool to see so many places I know name-checked in the scenes set around there, including Milan Sweets, an Indian sweet shop that I've been in many times, and the Railwaymen's Club further along past the Gurdwara
Early night now as due to the machinations of Big Clock, it will have turned into a late night by the morning

Much clock resetting going on, as I forgot to do it before I went to bed.
Heading down to see Mum; family dinner for Mother's Day. Will have to phone her before we leave as she'll be an hour behind and unlikely to be out of bed when we arrive.
Chilly in here at 13.9 deg, 12.5 in the kitchen, 12 in the leanto.

Meanwhile on the 6th of January 2020 I was in the library computer room showing the odd incumbent the three finger salute to get going, there was much discussion of The Co-op shops, Neath & Swansea seemingly bereft of such, Brillo popped in, along with LondonManc, Eek, LM, NF, DaveB and WTFH to aid in the discussion.
Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine.
Lunch: brunch.
Entertainment: 12:30 R4 comedy.
TWTW.
The workbench is duly installed. Really knackered now.
The pair next door returned whence they'd been. I didn't bother speaking.
The pair of drawers that Strangelove pater chopped in half for some reason are in the process of being joined back together again, not a simple operation but if it works it'll be worthwhile. The new workbench has Come In Handy for this. .
Tea: beans on toast plus a couple of boiled eggs. Nice enough.
Entertainment: thing about some postcode somewhere: this one was in the West of Scotland.
Beyond Skinwalker Ranch. Miller Ranch Colorado. Weirdness associated with a road bridge.
Paranormal: Britain's last witch.
Thing about Douglas Adams on Sky Arts. It's on again on Thursday.
Forgot about the NZ highway thing since I was busily woodworking in the garage.
Clouding over in real time here (or what passes for real time nowadays) and still fairly breezy. It's 10°C, soon to be 13° but no higher; the barometers are back down a little at 1007/1015mB. No rain expected, though it looks like it ought to be
