Loony lady 1 walk today, nice and sunny. After we finished I had to go back and look for the glove she lost, then back again to look for the earring she'd lost! Managed to find first at least. Still, she's not the only losing loony of the two of us, in panic for ages today looking for my keys. They were stuck down the back of me office chair.
I'm gutted to not be watching the darts world championship final this evening. Sounds like a corker of a match. Sadly, I don't have Sky Sports and I graciously let HWMBO have access to my brother's account as he watches a lot more sport than I ever would. (I use my Mum's Sky account for occasional tat TV viewing).
Tonight's major motion picture premiere was Beatles '64 (2024) which is the sort of thing you'll enjoy if you're into the Beatles and won't if you're not
And then E1 of Masters of the Air (TV Mini Series 2024) which gives the Band of Brothers/The Pacific treatment to US bomber crews in East Anglia during the war. Seems very good, but only available on Apple TV
Incidentally, Apple TV is free to all this weekend, so you could binge the whole series and also fit in S1 of Severance or one of their other things if you don't do anything else
Early night (for a Friday) now, as I've had enough late nights over Christmas and New Year and should give my body clock a chance to get back to "normal" ahead of Monday
There are some on the board who had Beatles wallpaper and Beatles 45. The wallpaper is long gone along with the said 45s which my sister sold without me knowing, not that I care since I haven't got a single Beatles single (or LP). The Stones, on the other hand, a lot. .

Meanwhile on the 16th of December 2019 NF had ribs & chips followed by coffee & walnut cake to stop it going stale, followed by yet more of The Wire, whereas DaveB watched some film or other and I watched a thing on More4 about overengineered German WWII weapons, including the MG42 which had a rate of fire twice that of other MGs of the time.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the grey gloomy raw cold windy afternoon. Twas ok to start but that wind rose towards the end & it was very lazy.

Massive Engineering Mistakes: I90 bridge failure: Schoharie Creek: scour around a pillar. Varese Railway bridge crane collapse. 1971 2000 Commonwealth Ave cast in place tower block collapse. Ludvika railway overbridge collapse, cast in place again. They forgot the diagonal bracing on the scaffolding. Oooops.
"Nobody (2021)". Don't piss off "auditors". I do like this film. The ultraviolence is at another level. And it's short & to the point. With plenty of dead Russians. The bestest kind.
Very grey sort of day out, though the blanket of cloud hasn't done much to increase temperatures: it's 0°C (feeling like -2°) with an expected high of a mere 2°, and snow should arrive this evening around 9pm and may carry on through the night, though reverting to sleet or even rain by morning. The barometers are down to 1005/1013mB
Just popped downstairs to my storeroom, and rearranged what's in there, including getting the washing machine from the back to the front. I still need to have that taken away and also deal with various other bits down there, but the rearrangement means it should be possible to store a bike in there now, as nature intended. So I'm going to get a bike
I could pop down to the bike shop now as it's only ten minutes' walk, but I'm too knackered after shifting the washing machine - which is why I need to get a bike
my neighbour gave me a bike from clearing a garage. you can have it if you want. needs fettling, but all fully functional.
