Lunch has been herby chicken, tomato and lentil soup with a crispy of wholemeal

Looks like it was the last of that soup. Oh well, I need freezer space for the large quantity of Scotch broth that will come from the lamb shoulder

Tea: chicken madras with rice and naan

It was sunny enough this afternoon that I had to close the blind in the office

        Evening all, Sussex calling

It's been a damp day but not especially chilly with a high of 13 degrees.

Arrived back from Berlin at 10.30 pm yesterday, unpacked and then repacked.

This morning I got up early to do laundry, shower, have a morning meeting and make sure mum was out of bed to let the plumber in. Drove down to Sussex, met the plumber, logged back onto work to find the 2pm meeting I'd rushed to be at a desk for had been postponed to tomorrow.

Took mum to Tesco and made sure we had some proper food for dinners.

HWMBO took advantage of BA offering free flight rebooking to retime his trip home today. He'll be back at the weekend.

Tonight's viewing was part one of Hunting Mr Nice: The Cannabis Kingpin about the life, high times and, ultimately, hard time of Howard Marks

I also found some time to muck around with the Bluesky app, although that was mostly devoted to learning more about asynchronous HTTP request handling in Swift. Got a fetch of an actual feed working, though

And I finished reading Nuclear War: A Scenario which doesn't end well for anybody anywhere, as you might expect

          Goodnight all

Got one of the neighbours to come round and help with the shed roof. As we went to move it, I remembered that the last time we did it I had not attached the box profile sheets to it before lifting it in place. This time it was a tad heavier than before.
During the lifting process my bad shoulder was sore, and I wasn’t too surprised by the end that I was unable to shake my neighbour’s hand.
So far a mid of paracetamol and naproxen has dulled the pain, but I suspect breakfast tomorrow will be 75mg diclofenac or possibly even tramadol.

Anyway, the shed roof is back in place and I have made it to bed.

              Morning denizens

Some bands of cloud low on the horizon have been keeping the sun down, but it'll have risen a few minutes ago and there's a clear sky everywhere else for it to travel through. A bit chilly at 3°C and it's even expected to fall by a further 1° over the next hour before resuming a rise to 7° this afternoon. The barometers are also on the rise at 1000/1009mB

CBS, 2C, and a lovely sunrise today. Pleasant walk with MMtSH pulling on the lead in the way that he does.

Yesterday's walk with loony lady 3 pretty ghastly. Apart from her infernal yacking she was really slow due to bad back. Need someone a lot fitter than my 2 loony ladies.

                    Morning all, still in Sussex

Blue sky with occasional lumps of fluff. Damp from overnight rain. Colder today at 7 degrees currently and a high of 10. Rain expected overnight. Barometer at 1016 mBar.

Plumbers have been let in and are getting on with their doings. Mum has been fed a bit of breakfast.

                      Morning.

                      Tuesday.

                      Dry.

                      Sunny.

                      Blue sky.

Chilly in here at 13.5 deg, 12 deg in the kitchen, 10 deg in the leanto.

1011 mBar, 29.854 in Hg, 758.3 Torr, 14.663315 psi, (untapped & it certainly wasn't 988), 57% RH (Lidl electric: dehumidifier on for an hour).

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine. Quite chilly out there.

Meanwhile on the 4th of December 2019 everyone was after the 4 hour hiatus, whereas NF was making soup.

                      Lunch: brunch.

Entertainment: Y&Y waffling about scams <click>. Dehumidifier rattling away: more inneresting.

Shopping trip to Aldi & Tesco done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away. I fell off the wagon & bought some dates from Aldi. Well there's still some left. .

Freecell score: 75%, running average: 80%.

Tea: Tesco battered haddock etc. Nice enough.

The Bad Skin Clinic: chap with a lipoma above his left eye: easy peasy despite a previoius doctor saying it could affect his eye. WTF? Lady in a wheelchair with rheumatoid athritis with "pyoderma gangrenosum" on her foot, except it's a venous ulcer: weening her off the steroids & trying hyperbaric oxygen. Chap with a port wine birth mark on his face: he & his other half are tattooed. Very tattooed: lasered. Lady with rosacea: isotretinoin.

                      Shooter S1 E7, E8. More .338 goodness.

I have a curious desire to purchase a Weihrauch HW45 pistol. Then again there's 4 that haven't seen a pellet in years that are already here, including an Anshutz 250.
