After a morning of Monkey Life, there was some US borders and New Zealand policing stuff, though I didn't pay much attention to those

This evening, a couple of old episodes of 24 Hours in A&E

And after that, I read a few more chapters of Eternity. I'm about half way through that now, so I might as well see it through

Monday tomorrow. Maybe there'll be some more interesting stuff happening this week than last week

    Goodnight all

      Morning denizens

Cloudy out, but with thinner patches that are letting some wan sun shine through, as and when the winds move them to the right place. The wind at ground level seems to have settled down a bit after being quite breezy last night. It's relatively mild at 11°C (feels like 8°) with an expected high of 17° when it gets sunnier this afternoon, though some rain is expected tonight. The barometers are down some more at 984/992mB

        Morning all
Wet walk earlier, then the sky cleared as we came in, and now it's getting overcast again.

          Morning.

          Monday.

          Damp.

          Grey.

          Dreary.

Wanly (very) sunny (using some imagination).

Chilly in here at 16.1 deg, 17 deg in the kitchen, 15 deg in the leanto.

992 mBar, 29.29 in Hg, 744.06 Torr, 14.3877 psi, (unchanged), 79% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 19th of November 2019 there was discussion of the chunkiness of stew, whereas on the 20th an ep of BTVS wouldn't play on the play anything dvd player but played ok on the blueray player, whereas no one, other than xogg, had an email from the total tosspot Bunter, the fat owl of the remove.

Shopping trips to Morrisons, Aldi, and Tesco done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away.

          Lunch: definitely.

Freecell score: 93%, running average: 77%.

Some gardening (Minor) until the rain arrived & I gave up. Mint & brambles mostly.

Tea: beans on toast etc. Living the dream. .

          Entertainment: book.

DS9: "Little Green Men" on some channel or other, despite the fact that there's a dvd behind me that has the whole ep rather than the last 15 minutes.

Simon Schama Remembers: some series he made in 1995 which followed the remembering. Amusing enough. He seemed a bit hyper in 1995.

The Oak Island "this week we ain't found tulip" again. The metal detecting moron found some copper thingie. The garden shaft excavation continues with the top bit of concrete in place. More drilling. I continued reading a book during this to avoid the temptation of committing bodily harm out of frustration.

PBS: Forgotten Allies: the Burmans who volunteered to fight the Japanese during WWII.

Slightly different from those heroic Indians who fought the Evil British on the side of the Japanese.

Bah! You'll be resurrecting my embarassing post about bonking a dead frog next.

In the post: a letter from the Halifax stating "Your mortgage is closed."

Also in the post: a letter from the Halifax advising me that my mortgage fix ends soon and inviting me to apply for a new deal to avoid going on their standard rate

Lunch has been a salmon bap (white) with a bag of plain crisps

Proper salmon out of a tin, mind, not that fresh stuff

                    Tea has been takeaway leftovers

There's been a couple of drizzly showers but nothing too bad, and it remained quite sunny until sunset. Might be a rainy night though

An old episode of Traffic Cops was watched earlier, for want of being bothered to find anything else :

And a few more chapters (they're mostly quite short) of Eternity have been read

Getting an early night now, as last night's sleep wasn't as refreshing as it might have been. I blame dreams - not disturbing or unpleasant ones, but ones that were about something that was mildly annoying, as far as I can recall. Just a bit of low-key irritation, which is a stupid thing to dream about really

                      Goodnight all
