    Morning all

Sunny, clear sky with occasional fluff. Currently 15 degrees with a high of 17 expected. No rain forecast. Barometer steady at 1014 mBar still.

Sold a sofa bed on eBay and that has been picked up this morning. Off to see Mum today with HWMBO who is very kindly going to make her a nice dinner.

Got somebody from Freecycle coming to collect a load of old metal shelving things shortly. Why I brought them I have no idea. One buys so much stuff in life that never gets used. Toothpaste, ie footpath, inspection this afternoon. Most exciting thing in me life wobbling signposts, can think of things I'd rather be wobbling. LL1 off to US tomorrow, so 6 weeks with only yacky LL3 for company. Aaaagh, need some new earmuffs.

You & me both, Xogg. Why did I buy all this crap? Most of it has never been used.

Anyone want a couple of Racal RA17 receivers? Light at a mere 67lbs.

There's a Murphy B40 too, but that's slightly heavier at 114lbs. They made techs strong in the navy.

          Afternoon denizens

Cloudy day out. Currently 15°C which is as good as it'll get, while the barometers are up but not by an amount that's likely to matter much, at 1000/1008mB

                Not showing edits again, so...

                Morning.

                Sunday.

                Dry.

                Sunny.

                Blue sky.

Cool in here at 17.1 deg, 18 deg in the kitchen, 16.5 deg in the leanto.

1012 mBar, 29,884343 in Hg, 759.1 Torr, 14.6778 psi, (down from 1013 last night), 78% RH (GDR hair), 66% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 8th of October 2019 WTFH went for a walk, was off the painkillers, and was searching for a missing guineafowl, I got wet on the walk to Tonna lock after which the sun came out, whereas NF was waiting for the rain to arrive whilst ravelling the sleeve of care by knitting some soup. Or something. .

Getting concerned with some of the stuff that's coming out of my sinuses, I'm sure there was a bit of brain in that last one. .

Walk (unabbreviated) walked during which an acquaintance from years ago appeared, he seems to be the only one of the Sunday morning crew apart from me who's still alive.

                Lunch: beans on toast etc.

Entertainment: some bollox on R4 about that Rylan chap. When Jack Dee came on it went extremely rapidly.

The last 15 minutes of a thing about the Pacific War complete with nuclear explosions. I wonder what Glyn the ex POW would have thought of this, he was at Nagasaki on the day.

A brief viewing of some Mini (Austin not BMW) race with nutters hurtling around some track or other on ITV4, prior to the BTCC.

Yet more D Day stuff, this time on PBS.

Freecell score: dire, walk away before

The dvd library on the stairs has been moved, cleaned behind & under, then replaced more or less where it was before. . WTF did I buy all this tulip for?

Tea: soup etc. with added chilli to attempt to make it a little more inneresting. Not that it worked particularly. .

Entertainment: thing on R4 about some film director chap. The one that did Michael Collins & Mona Lisa, the latter of which I think I've seen, the former residing unwatched in one of the piles on the stairs.

For some unknown & unknowable reason I've had a desire for a boiled egg sandwich, said desire has been satisfied yesterday & today. I discovered I can boil said egg in the kettle (you can't cook them in the poppity ping because they explode.

Skinwalker Ranch bollox on Blaze: "Something's Up".

I've decided to give the subpar Flipping Bangers a miss, it's about a Merc SLK this week.

Ancient Unexplained Files: More bollox but on DMAX instead.

The usual US borders and NZ police stuff was on this afternoon; repeats, and largely ignored

Later, an episode of Trauma Room 1 followed by an old 24 Hours in A&E

Monday yet again tomorrow. The distortion of the weekend caused by my trip northwards yesterday has left me feeling discombobulated and unready for yet another week, but I don't suppose they'll accept that as an excuse

                  Goodnight all

                      Morning denizens

A rainy night and, at the moment, a grey and rainy morning. The rain may stop in a couple of hours, but the cloud isn't expected to part until this evening. It's 8°C now and maybe reaching 14° this afternoon, with the barometers down a little at 997/1005mB
