Shopping has been done, at both M&S and Sainsbury's

There was literally one other customer wearing a mask in M&S, and that includes walking through Menswear and the hinterland of Womenswear to get to the Food Hall. I know the customer are all old, but they shouldn't be so willing - eager, even - to embrace death

Not many more in Sainsbury's either. But I got everything I needed that I remembered. Next: lunch

Saw the postie earlier as she struggled to put a big brown envelope into the box.
Built up the courage to walk out and get it, it's the time of year that HMRC send out nasty letters.
With trepidation I unlocked the box and retrieved... the new screen protectors for my iPad.

I was able to resist temptation because I already had the makings of lunch at home, and I've just had it: a sausage and bacon baguette with red sauce, the sausages being oniony and the baguette seedy

And I brought the recycling bin back in before setting off for the shops

I went up to Metro Bank by the station to drop off a tin of change my Dad had collected. £247.81 banked.

The Magic Money Machine always says it's out of order so instead of leaving in a huff yet again, I asked a roaming member of staff about its availability. Turns out it's been put in some kind of manual mode so people have to ask and therefore be supervised.
