Watching the News and realising I'm missing the Diwali fireworks.

Diwali is a huge thing here in Leicester, but everybody's being very mellow about the hugeness not being possible this year

Though if it's wholemeal or whatever I can see that it might take a bit longer, if only because of the bowel movements it induces.

I had some already; I did think of calculating, but it just comes down to me not making spag bol very often. Given the existing stocks, I reckon I've had it five or six times since April

Tonight's major motion picture rewatch was Salt (2010). It's a good chasey-chasey-shooty-bangy spy thriller if you like that kind of thing

And then I was going for a major motion picture premiere with Valkyrie (2008) but… well, FFS. It's supposed to be about the plot to kill Hitler, but it's mainly "Wanna kill Hitler?" "Sounds a bit dodgy to me." "Well, Tom Cruise says it's alright?" "Oh well, in that case I'm in!"

I thought an insightful approach to the personal and military politics of the plot would play well, but forty minutes in, that hadn't happened yet. Also, they seemed to have made a concerted effort to find an actor to play Hitler who looked as little like Hitler as possible.

So I gave up on it and rewatched Downfall (2004) instead
