                  No telly tonight apart from some police chase nonsense whilst dining. But I got a bit further with Sam Pepys, whose diary I have been neglecting of late. August 1663, and his wife has just returned from a long stay with Pepys' parents up near where the A1 now meets the A14, having fallen out with them, as I suppose people do with in-laws if they stay with them a long time
