I decided to make a note on the kitchen calendar to see how long a 250g bag of coffee beans lasts. The last bag was used in 12 days.

Lunch has been the last of the jumbo frankfurters in the last of the small white baps, thereby freeing up a marginal amount of extra space in the freezerComment

(That means there's a surplus 4g in the pack, so I either occasionally let a few extra beans fall in when weighing, or just have ultra-strong coffee at the end of the pack.)
As an aside, the Aldi Alcaf Espresso Roast is surprisingly good for the price. As good if not better than Taylors or Lavazza for lot less."Being nice costs nothing and sometimes gets you extra bacon" - Pondlife.Comment

Sheets off the line and over the banisters in the through draft.
Cottons out of the TD and airing ditto.
Still sunny here but the weather person mentioned threats of rain, hail, & murrain of beasts later.
I very rarely drink coffee, certainly not anything that would require grinding.
Tea, tea, and more tea, as the quantity of undecayed teabags in the compost heap indicates.
I'm TT at the moment too.
Anyone know where I can get a hair shirt (lice optional)?Last edited by DoctorStrangelove; 12 June 2020, 13:36.When the fun stops, STOP.Comment

I realised that I never got around to fitting a CD/DVD drive to my office desktop PC (I only bought it 5 or so years ago) and so used some of my billable time to dig in my box of bits for said drive and a cable.
With the PC still running, I took the cover off to do a recce for a spare power cable. Such a cable was found but would require a few things to be moved about.
I was on the cusp of powering down to jiggle things about a bit when I thought to check where I'd need to route the cable twixt CD/DVD drive and the motherboard. Turns out I don't have any bazillion pin ATA connections, just those new-fangled SATA ones.
Maybe that's why I never fitted it all those years ago...Comment
