The Dog (tw) has been walked.
As I got back home, The Wife (tm) was just about to leave.

Following last week's request to view the house, she decided that we needed to tidy it up.
This started with "we just need to repaint the outside of the front door", which involved "we" taking 5 layers of paint off the outside of the front door.
Then we had to fill in a few small cracks in the stonework and touch up a few marks on the walls and ceilings.
I got the paint last weekend to do this, but it's matt, while the inside of the front door is gloss.
I could see that to get the correct paint, either I would need to take today off work, or would need to get her to do it. The nearest Brewers is about 10 miles away, and I told her they probably opened around 7.30am, so she phoned them as I went out with The Dog (tw). Thankfully they are doing "collection slots", so you can't just drive up, you have to order on the phone, then collect at the time they specify.

She got a 9am slot to pick up the paint.

Any guesses what I'll be doing today in between "working"?

I might go to Sainsbury's later. Not urgent though, so I'll probably leave it until tomorrow, unless a sudden fit of enthusiasm for queuing comes upon me

Sadly, most of the meetings are relevant and I cannot simply uninvite myself.

On my way down to the compost heap with another offering: 90% of the crap had burned, the remaining ashes should fertilise sommat or other.

The rain has brightened stuff up no end.
