It's lulling you into a false sense of security.

Been raining here for quite a while.

    Grey as a 's arse.

All use of the WM and the TD has completed, some stuff got washed on the 20 minute cycle this week since I have a theory that either the WM or the TD on my previous uses made the smalls wear out faster.

We shall observe the results of this experiment with some slight innerest.

Currently contemplating whether or not the clean jeans will fit over the somewhat swollen calf of my left leg.

Last Word this afternoon is giving a mention to Baby Peggy.

Been meaning to make some apple pies. I’d better get a move on so I’m in the right week

Might try making some beef pies too.

Sounds like they've pulled a fast one, as a few bulbs isn't a huge uplift on the bill but all adds up if they do it for 90% of customers. Or, they were too lazy to record three bulbs out on the MOT as it as a fail / fast fix job.

My Dad was very grumpy with his local garage when his car was last MOT'd. He knew it needed a couple of new tyres so told them - replace the tyres THEN do the MOT. They did the MOT, failed it on the tyres, then replaced them, then "retested" and passed it. Now it shows on the record that he's the kind of owner who only replaces their tyres when someone tells them to, rather than through active maintenance.

Did he arrive at the appointment time or provide the garage with plenty of time for the tyres to be replaced first prior to the scheduled appointment time? I witnessed a similar entertaining argument a couple of years back on exactly that point..

He arranged it all in advance. Said he was bringing the car in to replace a couple of tyres and do an MOT. One visit instead of two.
