Sunday lunch: roast beef (not roasted too much this time), rice pud (undercooked instead of overcooked, plus rather too much brown sugar made it a really odd sort of colour), rounded off with 1.05 pints of good Glengettie tea.
Mostly ok in the usual sort of way.
In other news, the next batch of lentil <pffffft> soup is simmering on the stove, mostly to get rid of the parsnips that that been festering in the fridge for far too long.
The previous bag of parsnips rotted and were thrown into the compost heap.
We made the mistake yesterday of mentioning to the ankle biter about an exhibition on at The British Museum. They are now dead keen on going whereas HWMBO and I are looking at the weather and thinking "do we really have to go there?"
Well it gets us out I guess.
Shame I can't just hand over my membership card and stay indoors.
