After yesterday's appalling pile of tulipe, namely "Sherlock", this evening's epic is "The Battle of Britain (1969)" which is replete with British and Canadian and Irish actors playing Brits rather than a bunch of septics pretending to be Victorian English Gentlemen with very little success, much as might be expected from colonials.
Battle of Britain (1969) - IMDb
Interesting piece of casting having one of Archie McIndoe's Guinea pig Club in it in one scene.
To whit, this gentleman:
Bill Foxley - Wikipedia
In April 2017, it was announced that Ridley Scott would be directing a new version of this movie for Twentieth Century Fox, with Matthew Orton performing screenwriting duties.
Well the critics didn't like it in 1969, but I thought it was ok.
Miles better than that tulipe from yesterday.

Tonight's classic Sunday night black-and-white British World War Twotertainment was The Colditz Story (1955), which I haven't seen in many a year. Good stuff, although it's a shame it didn't cover enough of the war to get to the bit where they built a fully functional two seat glider behind a false wall in the attic

Morning all
Grey, dreary, a bit drizzly.
CovKid I successfully deposited at nursery. Mechanic on his way to pick up the cat-less car.
On the tram back from nursery some feckwhit in an SUV tried pulling out in front of the tram. He must have forgotten that trams can't swerve. Luckily just grazes to the front of his car but it held us up for a bit. What was surprising (though it needn't have been) was the complete lack of common sense or incentive shown by the other drivers when faced by a stationary tram with hazards on. Despite ample room to pass it was easier to sit there using the horn, or attempt to squeeze out of a side street using the pavement than turn around and go 100 yds to the next way out... I despair.Comment
