    Home again

A very pleasant lunch was had: roast chicken, with the trimmings we know and love

And then we visited my Dad, who was much brighter than last week; very keen to get out of hospital, understandably so as it's been two weeks now

Oh, how the might of TPD is fallen.

Look about the ruins and weep, oh ye mighty.

The sands stretch to infinity & beyond, undisturbed.

What it needs is that meridian cove to come in here & call me a racist.
      Sorry, I was busy

Tea/dinner this evening was some of today's lentil <pffffft> soup which I came close to burning in the microwave, a neat trick if you can manage it.

Followed by a Morrisons scotch egg (reduced).

        It was all ok.

Had to put some boiling water back in the soup coz it was practically standing up on its own.

Today's mistake during the shopping trip was popping into Lidl(tm) and purchasing another £28 worth of tools, most of which I probably have already.

        It's fatal going in there.

        Cue Aldi Lidl song.

Haven't got the inflatable boat yet though.

Sunset this evening was incredible, the valley turned crimson.

And if we're very lucky (and insomniac) we may see the blood moon tomorrow morning at about 05:00.

The sands stretch to infinity unmarked.

Another blood moon tomorrow night at 2.36am. Will be last total eclipse until May 2021. Not sure I want to stay up that late, why can't these damn eclipses happen in the day time?

After a huge lunch, I definitely don't need another meal. On the other hand, I'm starting to feel a bit peckish.

I suspect a large chunk of cake will be consumed before long

"Vera" not overly gripping this evening.

But then again, I'm with Harry Brown.

Getting sick of all this virtue signalling.

I think I may withdraw again.

Tonight's film was a rewatch of All the President's Men (1976), which I haven't watched in a number of years. Good stuff, and a useful reminder that it takes time for the full extent of Presidential criminality to see the light of day.

                  Goodnight all

                    Morning all.

Was hoping to catch a bit of the super blood wolf moon on the way in this morning.

But it was cloudy - so I could see nothing.

                    Happy Monday....
