Stone me, slow is not the word.

    Fecking wordy & slow.

Just what FF was made for.

It just livened up a bit.

    And a bit more.

And not a towel to be seen.

    One looks like Charlie Manson.

Now we've got Herbie & his mate with rockets mounted on the roof.

    Aha!

    Computers!

Possibly CP/M and linked to a tty from the sounds it's making.

    And Herbies bite the dust.

    Next is The Jackal.

    CP/M ain't cutting the mustard.

    And Carlos has Fandangoed.

    But still soldiers on.

    CP/M still fecked.

    password USAF 8735

    Obvious really

    Nearly over, thank feck.

    Some nice stunts though.

For tea tonight, a roast pork dinner

Shoulder of pork, to be precise; and very nice too

On the big screen tonight, a rewatch of Alien (1979). I did consider watching the 2003 Director's Cut, but it seems Ridley Scott, being the director in question, later said something to the effect that he thought the original was fine and the 2003 version was just a moneymaking scam by the studio, so I didn't

        Goodnight all

            Morning.

At least I think it's morning but it's so dark it's difficult to tell.

            Wet.

Not otter's pocket wet, but horizontally wet.

Windy. Very very windy, with very very very windy yet to come.

            Warmer side of cold.

Living room about 14 deg, with the laundry room showing 8 deg, with a min of 2.6.

            Tuesday.

It is now, judging by the state of the Esteemed Customers wandering in.

                <hiatus>

It's wetter than an otter's pocket & many Esteemed Customers haven't bothered coming in here at all.

Which, oddly, I find quite sensible.

The dock was like a millpond yesterday, the ripples were caused by the cormorant.

There's white horses on it today.

                  Morning denizens

                  Grey out

And the satellite shows the cold front, or whatever it is that has lots of rain, approaching rapidly from the southwest

I didn't set any alarms today, as I wanted to see how late I'd sleep naturally. It always turns out to be about an hour later than I would have allowed myself

And, having arisen and started preparing coffee, a ladder suddenly appeared outside my kitchen window, being manoeuvred into position against the guttering of the roof of the back flat (the building is L-shaped, with the back arm being two stories rather than than three). A very long ladder, to reach all the way up there.

Anyway, I wasn't in the kitchen when the man with the ladder did whatever he was doing, but it sounded like he hit upstairs' fire escape platform thing (it leads to the actual fire escape at the back of the surgery) with a hammer a few times. It didn't fall down, so presumably it's now deemed structurally sound for another ten years or so
