Tonight's tea was various Christmas leftovers with which I had been sent home, to which I added roast spuds and Yorkshires; so, basically, Christmas dinner all over again, and very nice too

There seems to be some weird disconnect in people's minds, such that they'll say all the expected stuff about looking after myself and following medical advice to watch what I eat, then in the next breath exhort me to have more stuffing or a few more roast spuds "because after all, it's Christmas"Originally posted by BR14 View PostSo, they put you on a strict diet after your op, then, eh?

Anyway, I'm almost out of seasonal leftovers now, so I can start planning the vegetable-filled replacement for the ill-fated Scotch broth

Tonight's movie extravaganza was Apollo 13 (1995), which is about… well, you probably know. Now in 4K, thanks to the Apple TV, though to be honest one spends so much time thinking through the engineering problems involved that the visuals aren't really the main thing
And another episode of The Americans to follow. I must be getting near the end of season three of that now.
Goodnight all

Morning denizens
Very grey and gloomy start out there, with lots of what looks like very cold rain
I'm staying firmly inside near the fire for now
