Some friends dropped in. This gave me an excuse to abandon dinner, which wasn't very nice.
It was fish, in batter, and chips; and it seemed inevitable that two foodstuffs that rely for much of their appeal on a certain level of crunchiness weren't going to come well through a reheating process built around steam
