Bless. John from Cambridge has a new email address which he's sent to his entire address book, no Bcc
This means I now have the personal email addresses of every surviving member of the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, Bob Kerr (of Whoopee Band fame), John Otway, and a whole bunch of other luminaries of the weirder side of the British music industry

49 was a good year!Originally posted by mudskipper View PostDid I mention I won the lottery last week?
Got the usual "news about your ticket" email, logged in and thought "Oooh, twenty pounds, that's better than usual!". Nope, it was 20K. Checked, rechecked, then ordered myself a nice new Mazda MX5 RF (launch edition, red, for those who really care about these things).
No match on numbers, but I got a 'tier 2' prize on the raffle. Very chuffed.
Hoping to have it for next weekend. And hoping the sun stays out!
Have never owned anything flasher than a Corsa before. Midlife crisis (assuming I live till 98
) - bring it on

This evening's very brief entertainment was going to be "Repomen" starring Jake wotsisface and the guy who was king of scotland*.
It didn't suit my mood, so I watched "Miracle on 34th Street" instead, which was much better, and in black & white to boot.
1947 is A Very Long Time Ago.
An elderly Edmund Gwenn, a lovely Maureen O'Hara at her flame haired best (though, being in black & white you couldn't tell that), and a very very young Natalie Wood.
Excellent. So good it won an Oscar(tm).
It also had the oddest trailer I think I've ever seen.
And, oddly, Maureen O'Hara lived until she was 95, whilst poor Natalie Wood popped her clogs at 43, some 35 years ago.
*Forest Whitaker, he of Hill Street Blues baddy fame some millennia ago.Last edited by zeitghost; 9 April 2017, 21:55.Comment

In other news, the slow cooker roast joint turned out much better than I expected."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."
