Had a PM from one of the other contractors in the team this morning - he's had two weeks notice through. There's another all-hands call at 11:30...
Update: just had an email from the PM. We're all being given notice, but that's OK - they might offer us a new contract. Keep calm and carry on chaps, he's sure that it won't happen. Some comfort coming from a guy who only started on the project this week!
Good luck - keep invoicing as long as possibleComment

I woke at 6am alone in a darkened room with windows that I couldn't open. I discovered that I had been brought to a grey faceless building behind a security fence on the outskirts of Amsterdam. This situation was not of my choosing.
Is this scenario;
a) Part of an epic drugs, drink and debauchery filled look at the underbelly of Amsterdam. Or
b) A day in the life of a KLM passenger during the season of unpredictable weather.

If nothing else I can afford a nice little break towards the end of the year and spend some time with the family.Comment

I've decided to move away from my desk this afternoon and try out some swanky comfy seating on "the street" at the offices todayComment
