Nah, you're thinking of Northern Rail there. TPX is actually quite good. That's why they had some of their rolling stock taken away down south... I wouldn't mind the Northern Rail service if they actually did price accordingly, but when it's the same price to go fast, warm and in comfort on TPX or in a draughty, leaky slow bus train on NR then there's obviously something amiss.

Achievements so far today: opened the gate for the bin folk nearly an hour before dawn (they've just turned up); been for a walk in Bradgate; done all the shopping that needed to be done; and collected various things from the Amazon Locker. I'll make some lunch in a bit, then get the chicken soup on to simmer for a few hours, then get the laundry on; and by this evening I should have managed everything that usually needs to be done over the weekend, leaving me with two clear days
