My apparently not useless post may be found at post 13.
they didn't understand the phrase Vsat.

Made sense to me with my 30 year old electronics.

The original "useless" post was basically telling the poster to RTFM.

Which the 2nd post tells him/her/it to do in slightly more diplomatic language.

There's some vastly amusing posts on there from Bob's cousins, most of whom require someone to do their homework for them.

There's a classic asking how to compile PicBasic with a Pic C compiler.

It transpires that Bob had found some circuit or other on the interweb for controlling a GSM phone & wanted to generate the hex without forking out for a licence fee for the compiler.

        Home!

Not a bad run today. And I filled up at the petrol station near ClientCo at lunchtime, so no need to muck around doing that

I'll have to pop up to the chemist's for my prescription soon. But the polling station awaits en route.

            Done and done!

It was marginally busier at the polling station than it was the other month for the Police and Crime Commissioner election, though that's not hard. Two people ahead of me at the desk

Heading out, I came across our local beat bobby in the car park. He and a colleague have the job of driving around to all the polling places, mainly just showing the colours. So I had a chat with him about the Neighbourhood Watch thing and other odds and sods

Then I walked over to the chemist's, which turns out to have reneged on its promise of evening opening. I don't really blame them, though, as most of their trade is from the health centre to which they're attached; as that doesn't open in the evening, it's not really worth their while to open. This means I'll have to go a day without a beta blocker and tiddly aspirin. On the other hand, it was a nice evening so I ended up walking on around some bits of the neighbourhood I don't often visit, which probably did me more good than the tablets anyway

Then, as I was heading home, I ran into a couple I know and haven't seen in a while, who were also out taking the air.

And finally home via Sainsbury's Local to get a loaf of bread, with which I am now going to make myself a sandwich for dinner

All in all, not a bad way of spending fifty minutes or so

I went out thinking I would skip the rain and got soaked even though I had my rain coat with me.

Anyway watching stuff on US Frats.

But the media said it was bringing the entire nation to a standstill! Surely they wouldn't say that if it was only affecting the small area where all the journalists live?
