Shopping trip delayed slightly by swan family on back lane.

    Pen, cob, and five cygnets.

took about 5 minutes to get by, mrs swan took the lead in getting the babies back in the canal.

Went to Cranleigh show today. Every time we go, after paying a fortune to get in and another fortune for food there, we look at each other and say "never again"
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

I have FINALLY managed to bludgeon AWS OpsWorks into successfully pulling down an application from a private GitHub repository!

It has taken literally hours, and was unbelievably frustrating. As I've often complained, the AWS docs give the impression of being comprehensive, but they all seem to be written on the assumption that you already know everything about the subject at hand. All kinds of crucial details are taken for granted, or only mentioned in passing in some other document. It's bloody annoying when you follow one of their examples exactly, to the extent of merely downloading and running their example code, and it takes around six hours to actually get the most basic first step to work, just because of missing information.

And there's very little help from places like StackOverflow, which abounds with questions that seem to be related but are answered with mere paraphrasing of the existing docs, or even better closed with "Never mind I got it working"

            Evening!

One patio cleared of weeds and power washed.

I'll leave Mr C to fill the gaps with sand and concrete during the week

The lentil <pffffft> soup was very nice.

The remainder is off to the freezer forthwith for future delectation.

I'm not sure how replacing curtain track can produce so much rubbish. Anyway it's done.
