I'll believe it when the cheque appears, but at least it means they should stop chasing for payment - particularly since I've already paid it and it's cleared my account.

The saga of the prescription continues
Having been told yesterday that I'd be able to collect it from the surgery today, I went to do so.
The surgery hunted around in the box they keep such things in: no prescription. Checking the computer, it turned out it had, this time, been sent electronically to the pharmacy, the way it was supposed to have been last week.
So I went round to the pharmacy. More hunting revealed that it had arrived, and had even been printed out; but it seems they make them up at the end of the day, ready for collection the following day, so it wasn't ready yet.
So tomorrow it's back to the pharmacy and I should, in theory, finally be restockedComment

Well we are then.
ZeitMater's will extracted from the solicitors.
ZeitPater's will & probate stuff on its way to the Probate office in Cardiff with ZeitSis.
Turns out that the probate office will send us some oaths that we'll then have to affirm or whatever in a solicitors down here (or in Cardiff if that's the way the cookie crumbles).
Loads of relatives informed of ZeitMater's demise.
Appointments made for the plumber & the BG central heating boiler fixer on Thursday morning.
Funeral Friday.
'Tis all go at the moment.
Have I mentioned the phonecall from Canada, seeking to speak to ZeitPater & ZeitMater?
Turned out to be a fellow midwife she worked with some 60 odd years ago, who sounds as bright as a button.Comment

Following some sarky comments from ZeitSis, I lit a fire in the grate, burning alder logs.
After a mere 5 hours or so it's managed to become pleasantly warm.
Though this may be due to the sun shining through the window rather more than the rather disappointing heat output of said alder logs, despite them being dry after living in the garage for a year.Comment

I need a holiday now. God, I hate Microsoft Word. Am I the only person who tries to use it correctly by defining and applying named styles rather than just selecting stuff and clicking format buttons?
