    Spoiled for choice then.

I didn't make lentil <pffft!> soup or stew yesterday, so I much less fragrant this morning.

This evening's repast will consist, as usual, of liver and bacon with onion gravy.

    Yum.

I had a chickpea and tomato thing for lunch which is now taking the same toll on me as lentils on you.

Might do a bacon and corn soup this evening or if I can't be bothered cooking just go out somewhere local instead.

I seem to be making a mean Pea and Ham soup at the moment, almost living off the stuff

I'm quite glad about that, since the assembled godbotherers might have had a collective stroke (no, not that kind of stroke) if such a thing had appeared.

Just remembered why I'm having such problems finding IRF mosfets on the Farnell site.

IRF got acquired by Vishay a little while ago.

              Ho hum.

                Ah.

                Even more complicated.

"Certain product lines" were transferred to Vishay, the remainder of International Rectifier was acquired by Infineon (who used to be Siemens).

Stone me this stuff is complicated.

And even more complicated: EMS (Electronic Motion Systems) which used to be part of IR, did a buyout, then got acquired by some bunch called KSR International from Canada.

                Confused, you will be.

And the thing that used to be Inmos Wafer fab was acquired by Thorn EMI (remember them?), then bought by ST Micro, then bought out by management, then went bust, then got bought by IR, and is now in the process of closing.

                Talk about musical chairs.

Though maybe it just seemed interesting because I was on the exercise bike at the time, and one needs something to take one's mind off the futility of pedalling furiously while remaining in one place

Anyway, time to shower and have lunch. For some reason I bought some cooked chicken legs at the same time as a chicken, which I roasted last night. So I have chicken or chicken for lunch
Erm, interesting bits of "You and Yours?" Doesn't usually happen IME. Nearly as bad as Moneybox.

I'd much rather stick Woman's Hour on - they have some good stuff.

And it seems that there's going to be a "Late Night Woman's Hour" fronted by Lauren Laverne. Racy stuff.

Have you listened to the after dark version? It's a bit like mumsnet on the wireless.
