Latest unbelievable effort from 3rd year esteemed customer: place decoupling capacitor on breadboard in such a way that it's shorted out, then complain that the circuit takes 2 amps from the power supply.

Oh, it just got even better.
Two further 3rd year esteemed customers have failed to measure the voltage on their circuit using a multimeter.
1. Coz the power supply wasn't connected.
2. Coz the black lead of the multimeter was floating around on the bench not connected to anything.
You really couldn't make this tulipe up.
