Why can't Europe standardise these things instead of mucking about with bendy cucumbers?
That didn't really happen - just more lies by the British press.
The EU has an office full of staff whose job is to seek to correct untruths about the EU published in the mass media of member states. More than 90% of their work is devoted to dealing with lies in the British Press.
If the Daily Fail and such really wanted to save EU money they would stop printing lies.
I remember when I was at GCap at the start of last year, and it was announced that Planet Rock and theJazz (sic) were to be eliminated.
There was great furore over the loss of Planet Rock; not so much over theJazz (although their promotional coffee mugs were always my first choice in the kitchen on the Xfm floor).
Somebody bought Planet Rock, but theJazz was allowed to go to the wall.
A couple of months later, an office-wide email came around from the facilities folk:
A brown corduroy jacket has been left in the third-floor meeting room. Could the owner please collect it from Reception.
