To be fair all those associated with legit companies show they are by their user name or logo.

Those who aren't get chased of the forum very quickly and then banned.

Hardly surprising -as I've said to you before it gives you a means of demonstrating both value and a purpose especially when both departments have a major problem to contend with..

As all managers continually state come with solutions not problems - and S3 are providing a solution to the problem...

So you do your own research and call S3 directly. Totally weird to not follow-up, IMHO, having invested so much on here looking for advice.

I didn't see much asking for advice TBH.

Not really - it was a kind offer via PM and I may yet take up on it (I did reply). But reality is I talk to the agency all the time and so they are already part of this dynamic - I will speak with them today so they can insert themselves again.

The advice I have received on here has been instrumental in not just mine but many other contractors getting up to speed with things. For every troll or clique poster on here, there are also lots of others who have been very helpful. Takes more than being a snippy wise-ass to chase me off!

Re HR - this huge dept also said the other day that agencies pay all contractors after deducting taxes first. They clearly have no one internally who knows anything - something they are well known for!

Fair enough, but Andy is a director at S3 and knows this problem well, so who better to ensure that your agent is providing the client with the correct advice? Best to avoid as many of the potential points of failure as you can. You're unlikely to get a better offer.

+1 especially as the agency is part of S3

Why bother to do assessments if you think every person via an agency is caught inside?

Client is frantic and seeking another meeting with them - I'm back to my original plan - I.e. If you think it's inside I'm gone! Can't be bothered to tell HR they're wrong - I'm sure the agency will try when I tell them
An example of how much confusion and lack of understanding (allied with downright incompetence) that this issue has caused.

It's not a joke, it's about time some of your agents did something to show clients why you're worth using. There have been a few places I've been where clients have asked why they have to pay for the agent after the first contract, generally along the lines of, "you've earned the extension, not them."
