    OK, understood.

Funnily enough, a quick scan of boox's website seems to show they have moved away from an all inclusive monthly flat rate fee. In itself, that's a very interesting development. Perhaps.

I expected some sort of headless chicken mode to be invoked and all 'options' would be removed from contractor Ltd services accountants, but it seems the opposite or the status quo has been observed.

Boox have now emailed to say they can draft your conditional claim for both corporation and dividend tax, and the cost will be covered by their usual fees, i.e. no extra charge.

If I remember correctly, the MSC Survivors group also offers it as part of the group membership fee, with an additional charge if they need to contact Boox to get information. Can anyone confirm if that's correct?

I emailed to sign up to that group, but still haven't heard anything from them. Is anyone else in that situation?

I am no longer a Boox client and they are asking for £75+VAT to draft the claims.

I wouldn't be using nor allowing Boox to draft anything....

Again, having the alleged MSCP hold your hand through this entire process is an obviously terrible idea.

The advice from multiple sources is that this is absolutely fine, and actually advisable since it means they'll cover some of the costs.

There is no legal link between the accusation they're an MSCP and them supporting your rebuttal.

Yes David Kirk told me on a phone convo he wasn't dealing with conditional claims yet as was addressing the urgent appeals (where Hector had cocked up) and he did say he would do it as part of the membership if the data is in a 'digestible form' and approx £100 if he needs further info. He sent an email on the 9th saying there is a backlog and he hopes to write to everyone by the end of the month. Did you check your spam folder as that's where my email ended up (yahoo mail)
Thanks for the info. Nothing in spam either.

I guess it makes sense to get Boox to do the claim letter. Especially for me - my info is not necessarily so accessible outside of Boox themselves any longer.

I don't care what advice you've had (there is a lot of bad advice out there, including in this area - speaking from experience of a few recent seminars). There is no "expert" advice on this one - it just looks terrible.

Now, that is bl**dy good advice right there.

Seems to me the very smell of this action is bringing out the ambulance chasers. I am not so sure they are going to be worth paying (potentially a lot of money, it's going to run for years and years?). This situation is pretty much without precedent as far as this layperson can see.
