Either way you're discriminating against an EU migrant for being an EU migrant, even if they're doing the same job and making the same contribution from day one as a UK citizen. Will work inside IR35. Or for food. -
well if its a bad deal then maybe only the best will come?Originally posted by VectraMan View PostEither way you're discriminating against an EU migrant for being an EU migrant, even if they're doing the same job and making the same contribution from day one as a UK citizen.
The concept that we should treat those coming to the country for work or benefits the same as our own people was not something the UK people explicitly voted for and looking at the recent UKIP success I doubt its something most people approve of.Comment

Which clearly they are not. Their engineers are from the brightest sections of society (they do not go into retail, law or banking) and they travel very well. Romanian is apparently the second language of microsoft in Seattle (though I find this hard to believe).Originally posted by BlasterBates View PostOf course all Romanians are beggars, thieves or prostitutes.
I think when people make sweeping generalisations about people according to nationality they are playing into the hands of the liberals who can then brand them racists. what they should be saying is that they do not want feral immigrants irrespective of what Nationality they are.
Whilst one or two of the pro EU liberals point out to discrimination re benefits to families then I would say we should be entitled to discriminate according to our own terms.Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment

Exactly and we should be free to discriminate how we wish.Originally posted by VectraMan View PostEither way you're discriminating against an EU migrant for being an EU migrant, even if they're doing the same job and making the same contribution from day one as a UK citizen.Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment

Child benefit cost per year per child is 1000 pounds for the next child 700 pounds.
The cost of educating a child in the state sector is 6000 pounds
So an eastern European with a child in Poland costs the tax payer 1000 pounds. An Eastern european with a child in the UK costs 23000 pounds to the tax payer.
Tax free allowance is 8000 per year. Minimum wage is 15000
So it isn't costing the tax payer anything.Last edited by BlasterBates; 2 June 2014, 20:47.I'm alright JackComment

That's a good advert for Britain.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostExactly and we should be free to discriminate how we wish.
The EU is a reciprocal arrangement. If we're free to discriminate against EU citizens that means our citizens are also free to be discriminated against abroad. I can't see why the isolationists think that's a positive step. Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment
