I agree with you there. I think a lot of their core voting base are not happy with the way that they've acted in the coalition, reneging on promises, kow-towing the Tory line, etc. and have probably voted Labour, Green or not at all...

Plus they have lost the protest vote now, as that's all UKIP or Green Party

Trouble is that the perfectly natural human desire to be among those like us with common culture and interests gets called racism or bigotry ONLY when it is by whites. For anyone else, migrating to areas where their own kind live and transforming them into mini versions of their own nations, retaining their own culture, language and traditions is respected and even positively promoted by the idea of multiculturalism.

I kinda like those areas. I do remember that those areas sprung up because of two things:
: a immigrant moves in and the Whites move out, because there is an immigrant on their street. And it still happens around here.
: immigrants feel better protected and helped by people of their own kind who harbour no suspicions. So hence move to areas with immigrants.

I kinda see the ghettos as a failure of multiculturalism and a failure of attitudes towards migrants. I wonder how the Spanish look upon the British 'ghettos' in spain?

It all comes around. These days I mainly worry that the kids are screwed over by politicians and will be penniless and in debt through their entire life. Migrants are the least of my worries.

Anyway I predict UKIP will actually use this advantage to harm their chances in the proper election next year. By doing nothing they will shoot themselves in the foot and lose their chance to get into a position of actual power.
