Why do you want to know?Originally posted by Hireonomy View PostInterested in hearing from you all about your biggest Recruitment Agency bug bears.
What do agencies do that really get your goat?
Conversely, what do they do well?
Basically, a thread to vent on!

So you say.Originally posted by Hireonomy View Postyou're right unfortunately. The recruitment industry has a bad reputation, and has to do a lot of work to make it better.
I've been fortunate/unfortunate (delete as appropriate) to work in both the Recruitment and Mortgage industry... glutton for punishmentThe material prosperity of a nation is not an abiding possession; the deeds of its people are.

Personally, I couldn't give a crap what your cut is. It is nothing to do with me.Originally posted by Hireonomy View PostNo problem, happy to.
I represent a company called Hireonomy and we are a specialist IT Contractor only recruitment agency. We are part of a bigger group.
We offer, we believe, the lowest advertised rates in the country - 7% mark up on day rate. We're completely open, honest and up front to both our clients and Contractors about our rate and the day rate requirement of the Contractor.
It would just be nice to deal with an agent who understands what I do, and what the client needs.
PS. Hireonomy is a stupid name.Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.
