It's big sea there, hard to find for sure even though surely radars should have tracked it???

If this were a government job the hijackers would have been savvy to remove the IFOF (Identification Friend or Foe) equipment from the power supply. This would have caused the aircraft to disappear from the screens.

I doubt anyone is tracker with air RADAR that far from land in these parts of the world.

Surely transponders should have been working, unless they were switched off just like in 9/11 ...

Anyone know if they microdot (or similar) planes? So if something is found, can they prove it belongs to the plane?

That story is dated 5am yesterday & they're obviously referring to the wooden cable roll (I think) that was found floating in the sea.

I should imagine it's just starting to get light out there about now.

Reckon we'll wake up to some news of them having found something given the number of nations now participating in the search.
