        You'd have thought the air RADAR would have tracked the decent.

        The all engine stall of the Air France jet occurred as a result of a fuel saving technique. Even after the stall the in-experienced copilots were broadcasting mayday loud and clear.

        No distress signals were broadcast on this occasion.

          That was the first part of the aircraft to hit the water. Must have been a terrifying experience for those onboard.
