You'd have thought the air RADAR would have tracked the decent.Originally posted by AtW View PostIt's big sea there, hard to find for sure even though surely radars should have tracked it???
French airliner that crashed in ocean some years ago took ages to find.
The all engine stall of the Air France jet occurred as a result of a fuel saving technique. Even after the stall the in-experienced copilots were broadcasting mayday loud and clear.
No distress signals were broadcast on this occasion."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment

That was the first part of the aircraft to hit the water. Must have been a terrifying experience for those onboard.Originally posted by zoco View PostThey found the tailplane floating in the middle of the ocean not long after, though."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Option 1) then. It's a government job. No terror group has the resources to disappear a aircraft of this size without someone saying. "hang on..""Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment
