Businesses should be allowed to turn away women, gay and black people
<Insert idea here> will never be adopted because the politicians are in the pockets of the banks! -

So presumably gay, black, brown, female, or pro-EU businesses are free not to serve Mr Farage and his friends?
That seem fair enough. While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'Comment

That could also mean employers would free to discriminate and request foreign workers only. Be careful what you wish!<Insert idea here> will never be adopted because the politicians are in the pockets of the banks!Comment

ah but this is an extension of the thread a while back about a council forcing a taxi driver to take on a disabled fare which would end up costing said taxi driver money or soemnthing.
Yes any business should be able to sell goods to who they want and turn away who they want.
However why would any sensible business owner turn away 50%+ of the population - it is just rubbish business sense and will cause your business to fail!Comment

I would add that if businesses choose to turn away more than half the population (women about 50%, gays between 5 and 10% and black people I think between 5 and 10%), then when they go bust as a consequence, the owners should lose limited liability rights for being cretins and should not receive any state benefits; I don't see why women, black people and gay people should pay NI contributions to finance the benefits of sexist, racist, homophobic losers.Last edited by Mich the Tester; 6 March 2014, 12:26.And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? It would appear that these people actually want to live in a world full of middle aged slightly podgy white men. While the backlash against years of PC is understandable, that's a bit of a scary thought. While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. Interestingly, Guardian take is largely pro UKiP.
Ukip councillor: let businesses turn away women or gay people if they want | Politics | The GuardianIf UKIP are the answer, then it must have been a very stupid question.Comment
